Lake Winnie Fishing Report for July 22, 2009

Winnie is getting on a good bite! The northern end of Bena Bar, Long and Third River Bar, Center bar - all going good! Rigs with leeches or crawlers are good presentations.

Humps north of the bars going westerly are doing well, also. Same program.

Perch bite is getting better. Sugar and Sugar Point up to Ravens are going good as of now. The weed bite is spotty. Check it out, but not for too long.

Pike have been moving in and out. They are active though. Troll big spoons or crankbaits on the weed lines.

The panfish, in the smaller lakes around Winnie, are going good, also - early and late in the day. Sunnies with small pieces of worms on 1/32 oz jigs, or same jigs with 2-inch curly tail grubs in yellow or white for Crappies.

See you on the water!
