Lake Winnibigoshish Fishing Report for August 18, 2011

Hello, from Big Winnie!

Walleyes have been on the move and we now have a shallow walleye bite going on the rocks and in the weeds. Ravens Point, Stoney Point and the Rock Fence on Long Bar are all good spots. Jigs and minnows or a half of a crawler are both working well to get the walleyes to bite. The weed bite is good with the same baits.

Perch are going well in the shallows or deeper on the humps or off of the bars.

Pike have been active also, trolling crankbaits outside of the weed edges in about eight to ten feet of water.

See you on the water!
