Lake Winnie Ice Fishing Report for February 18, 2016

Hello, from Big Winnie! The walleye bite is ok on the humps north of the Third River Bar, north and west up to North Bar. Look for walleyes in 19 to 23 feet of water with rattle spoons and minnow heads.

Perch are making some shallow moves. Good perch can be found in Bowans Flats, in 6 to 8 feet of water. Sugar Island is holding good perch in 10 feet of water and in the front of Judd's old resort, in twelve feet of water.

Pike are biting all over the lake, using sucker minnows on tip-ups. Another banner year for northern pike.

Very little snow right now and the ice quality is good. Check in with the resort you are accessing for road maps and travel reports.

See you on the lake!
