Lake Winnie Fishing Report for July 2, 2009

Hello, from Big Winnie!

We are going into a standard summer fishing pattern. The fly hatches are going strong and the baitfish are moving out to the deeper parts of the lake. We now have many more options to fish.

Shallow fish in the weeds are an option with jigs and minnows or a half of a crawler. The humps are going well also, rigged with a leech or a crawler. And, if they are active, spinners and bottom bouncers are going pretty well.

The main lake bars are also starting to go good, rigged with leeches and crawlers. Water temperatures are in the upper 60s.

Sunnies and Crappies are going strong in area lakes also. Early and late in the day is best, close to the weed beds.

See you on the water!
