LAKW WINNIE FISHING REPORT

Big Winnie Walleye bite remains ok with early and late in the day being best time. We still have darker water caused by an algae bloom. Look to 14 to 20 foot. Set lines have been the ticket. Plain hook and a lively minnow. You can jig them in but most of time they will only take the set line..

Perch are starting to get active as we have had sunshine. The shore drops fish from 10 to 18 feet. Main lake bars and humps they are deeper. Look from 18 to 30 feet. Small glow jigs and minnow heads working.

Pike also active most of the day. Green weed areas on the bar tops are good areas. Most are from 12 to 18 feet. Sucker minnows and tip ups We have had three over 36 inches caught this week.

Ice still at 17 inches. We have about 10 inches of snow on top. Travel with trailers on plowed roads. Off road travel ok with a 4 wheel drive truck. Check into the resort you want to access from. Most are letting full size trucks out.
