Jig and minnow bite is on for Walleye now. Fish the edges of green weed beds. Most of the weed beds are still good about the 10 to 13 foot zone. Move along the edges till you get a bite then stay and work that section of weeds till the bites are done. Move along to the next spot and do the same. Hello from Big Winnie We are getting into fall like patterns. Jig and minnow along weed edges in the 8 to 14 foot range is putting everything in the boat. Quarter oz jigs and fatheads moving along around 1 to 1.5 mph catching plenty of walleye. Later in the evenings until 11 pm those same areas trolling number five shad raps is very productive. Big Winnie walleye bite has been good this week. Cooler temps and shorter days have started to bring the water temps down . Upper sixty degree range is where we are at. Walleye can be had trolling spinners and crawlers or minnows on the main lake bar tops from the edge at 20 feet then moving up on top to the 14 foot range.
