LAKE WINNI FISHING REPORT

Walleye bite continues to be good. Look to the main shore drops in 10 to 25 feet of water. Windier and cloudy days the fish are going to be in 10 to 15 feet calmer sunny days they will be out to the 25 foot range. As the water is warming the bait choices are leeches , crawlers and minnows. Mornings we are finding minnows work well and by early afternoon leech or crawlers are better.

Jigs and minnows or a half crawler works well. You can rig leeches and crawlers . That works well. Put some speed on to. 1 to 1.5 mph is good. Water temps in the mid sixty range.

Perch are showing up also on the shore drops. They are coming up the edges a bit to the 15 to 25 foot range. They are biting jig and minnows. You can graph the edges till you see perch balls then sit on them.

Pike are active everyware at this time. You can use bigger minnows and rigs or troll crank baits. Weeds just getting going so they are not a problem .

See you on the lake. Pat
