Walleye bite on Big Winnie is good especially when the wind blows a bit. Calm days you need to long line your presentation. Shiners and rigs or jigs the best option. Water is stained yet to about eight feet. Warming water temps are bringing crawlers and leeches into the mix soon. Upper fifty range now. Shore drops from eight top fifteen feet the best. Hello from Big Winnie. Walleye bite here is very good. Jig and shiner bite is the way to go.Most shoreline drops are working well. Play the wind. You want wind blowing in or along the shorelines you are fishing. The bite windows are going three times a day. Cloudy days bite goes longer. Sunny days you need just a bit of wind to get them going. Hello from Big Winnie Opener has finally arrived. We had ice out one week earlier then last year. Walleye were hungry. Fish around the lake were biting shiner minnows and a jig. Very simple presentation. Shore drops the best option. Early in the morning 4 to 6 feet of water was good as the daylight progressed you only had to move out to 8 to 12 feet.
