Winnie walleye fishing is good now. Walleye are transitioned toward summer patterns. They are now biting through out the day with several shorter bite windows. Cover water. Fish are on most of the main lake structure's .Fish the bars from 15 to 25 feet. You can jig a leech or a minnow. You can rig a leech or a crawler. Water temps are getting close to 70. Hello from Big Winnie. Water is finally warming up. We are sitting 64 degrees. With that said we are now getting a few bug hatches. Mostly midges. Walleye are biting well at this time. Some fish have moved deeper to chase down these bugs. Shore drops on top still produce early and later in the day. During the midday they are moving to the drops from 16 down to 28 feet. Hello from Big Winnie. With the spring winds and rain hopefully settling down we can have some stable weather . Walleye action is great around the lake. Look to shore drops from 10 foot out to the main breaks. Shiner minnows are in spawn, the are beach runners. Walleye will be close to the spot tail pods of bait. Running jigs and spots is hard to beat now. When the bite window closes a bit run a rig and spot tail and slow down for some extra bites. Size of fish are running fr
