Lake Winnie Fishing Report July 25th 2018
Walleye action still dong well. Rigs or spinners tipped with crawlers or leeches the way to go. 18 to 25 feet of water is the zone. Fish the main lake bars attached to land . Shore drops have been better this week. Look to Snag hole, Sugar bar or Moxey drop. Play the wind and move along about 1.5 mph. Fish are aggressive no need to feed more then five seconds. Perch are getting very active with many fish in the 9 to 10 inch range. Target them with jigs and fat head minnows.

Walleye action on the big lake has been good this week. Main lake bars have been producing very well. Fish the bar-tops in 14 feet of water down the slopes to 25 feet. Spinners tipped with crawlers or leeches has been the way to go. Many of the humps north of Bena Bar have been producing well, using the same method. Water temps in the upper 70 degree range means you put some speed on it (your baits). Play the wind so you are working the wind into the drop edge or along it. Fi

Hello from big Winnie. Walleye action still gong fair , but early and later in the day has been more productive. Look to the humps on the north end of the lake . Trolling spinners and running plain hook rigs tipped with crawlers or leeches. Fish are off the sides most of the day hours with short moves to the structures several times a day to feed. Hello From Lake Winnie. Walleye action still very good. Humps and Mian lake bars still the ticket. Rigs and crawlers or leeches have been the best presentation. Spinner bite has slowed up. Mayfly hatch is going on now for four days. Water is getting warm , mid 70 degree range. Bite windows are shorter this time of the year but several occur during the day.
