LAKE WINNIE FISHING REPORT

Hello from Big Winnie.

Walleye still biting well on a number of presentations. You can troll the main lake bar tops with spinners tipped with crawlers or leeches. Use inline sinkers 1/8 or 1/4 oz ahead of your spinners and troll them from 1.0 to 1.8 mph. You can troll crank baits. Use shad raps number fives or number sevens. two mph is good. Jigs and minnows on the weed edges or the rocks works well. You bobber fish the rocks with leeches. Many ways to get a walleye now.

Perch are getting active on the rock piles and the weed lines. Jigs and a fathead is you best bet.

Northern pike fishing is getting good . Cast cranks and spoons over the weed beds. You can troll spoons fast along weed edges.

We have low water as we are in a drought. You will need to be careful loading and retrieving your boat. Talk with the resort you are accessing from for info.
