LAKE WINNIE FISHING REPORT

Fishing the big lake has been a challenge. Mother nature has thrown us a curve ball. Much cooler temps and a lot of wind has been tough to get out and fish. There is a walleye bite for those going out. The last good weed beds in the 8 to 10 foot range on the northwest side across the north shore have been putting fish in the boat. Jigs and minnows working through the weeds have done well. The humps north and west of third river bar are also producing some fish. We now have much cooler water . Slow down your presentation a bit.

Perch fishing is still good with the west side being key. Mississippi inlet north to Mallard point has been the area to put fish in the boat. Jig and minnows again the go to bait.Depths vary from 6 feet out to 18 feet. You have to move around a bit to find them . Plenty of fish over nine inches to be had.

This is a busy time of the year for and outdoors man or women. If you are done duck hunting in the morning and weather is good to be out grab a fish or two for supper. See you on the lake. Pat
