LAKE WINNIE FISHING REPORT

Hello from Big Winnie.

Ice conditions are going well for this time of the season. We are at 9 inches on the bottom end of the spectrum. We did freeze up on a hard wind . We have some rough ice to deal with. We are letting atvs and sleds out at this time. Check in with the resort you want access from. They will give you up to the minute conditions.

Walleye action is OK. You can catch a couple a night from 3 to about 8 pm. Bite is not on fire yet. Bigger minnows dead sticking the best way to go.

Perch are biting good on the west side. Look to the 8 to 154 foot depths.Size varies , you can sort out a meal though.

Area smaller lakes the ice is varied. We have seen five to six inches on some . Caution on most smaller lakes is the norm. See you on the lake Pat.
